Pimobendan, is a potent calcium sensitizer. It is metabolized by the liver.into Desmethylpimobendan (UD-CG 212).
Desmethylpimobendan is an active metabolite of pimobendan and a more potent phosphodiesterase III (PDE3) inhibitor.
